Thanks to a collaboration with the Ted Lindsay Foundation (TLF), Corewell Health Ted Lindsay Foundation Hope Center and Gordon Food Service (GFS) Brighton store, 韦德体育app官网’s Joanne and Ted Lindsay Foundation Autism Outreach Services (OUCARES) received generous donations that will benefit programs for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
GFS Brighton employees donated items including art supplies, 游戏, 不停地动, sprinklers and sports equipment for OUCARES summer camp and school year programs.
“Generous donations from GFS employees allow us to bring in quality products to our social, 休闲, and summer camp programs,” said OUCARES Director Alicia Garcia. “的se donations also help to support ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) services at the TLF Hope Center.”
Gordon Food Service Brighton employees have supported the TLF Hope Center and OUCARES for several years, raising awareness of Autism Spectrum Disorder and making a positive impact in the community.
“A member of our team has an immediate family member who is autistic. We as a team put on a few fundraisers a year for causes that are near and dear to our hearts,” said GFS employee Rachel Morawski. “四月的, 自闭症宣传月, we do the TLF fundraiser in honor of our team member’s family. We know directly how living with autism can be a challenge, especially with a stigma on a social disability, when with the proper understanding and educating ourselves there should be no stigma at all.”
